Description Officials have broken ground on the Port of Guam modernization project. This project represents a $50 million port improvement project administered by the United States Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration (MARAD) on behalf of the United States Department of Defense. The goal of this project is to improve freight efficiency and increase the facility's capacity.
