The U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) has reported that surface trade between the United States and both Canada and Mexico was 11.6 percent higher in December 2011 than in December 2010. Additionally, surface trade was reported to have risen 27.0 percent from December 2009, and 40.3 percent from December 2008. The value of surface trade with Canada and Mexico has increased by 25.7 percent from 2006 and 94.1 percent from 2001. |
