The latest monthly report from the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse showed that 60,299 holders of commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) had drug or alcohol violations recorded in the system in May, the most recent data available, a significant increase in violations compared to previous months. The number of violations is similar to the number estimated shortage of truck drivers (60,800), according to the American Trucking Associations. |
