As of August 5, 2020, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration plans to implement a new hours of service rule on September 29, 2020. However, requests to amend the rule or postpone its implementation are still under consideration. The new rule has provisions related to split-sleeper-berth logging, the adverse conditions exception, short-haul air mile radius and time limitations, and the 30-minute break. |
