Description	An updated hours of service rule that is safer and more flexible for truckers has been issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and will go into effect 120 days after publication in the Federal Register. Updates to the rule include: changes to the 30-minute break rule; modifications to the sleeper-berth exception; extending the maximum window for adverse driving conditions; and changes to the short-haul exception available to certain drivers.
