In the first weeks of operation, the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration identified nearly 8,000 positive substance abuse tests of commercial drivers. Drivers that are in violation of federal drug and alcohol policies are prohibited from driving and will need to receive treatment prior to resuming driving. |
