The USDOT Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology (RITA) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) published the November 2019 Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI) on January 9, 2020. The TSI rose slightly for the second consecutive month, however it fell when compared to November 2018. The November 2019 TSI is 2.0% below the all-time high set in August 2019. Increases were seen in pipeline and rail carloads. Trucking, water, air freight, and rail intermodal were all down. |
