This report describes the National Cooperative Highway Research Program's (NCHRP) research, outcomes, and conclusions regarding the prioritization of freight investment projects. For this report, NCHRP developed an overview of the current state of freight investment prioritization and methodology, surveyed state DOTs and stakeholders regarding freight investment and prioritization and methodology, and conducted six case studies to gather insight in agency perspectives on current freight prioritization methods. |
