A preliminary report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that in 2018 fatal driving accidents involving at least one large truck increased 3% over 2017. For the second year in a row, NHTSA estimates that overall traffic fatalities decreased even with an increase in miles traveled.
