The USDOT Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology (RITA) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) published the March 2019 Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI) on May 8, 2019. The TSI rose 0.4 percent from February to March 2019. The TSI rose 1.3% over March 2018. The increase in Freight TSI was driven by growth in trucking, water and air freight, while pipeline, rail carloads and rail intermodal declined. |
