NEW YORK: PARK Smart New York City

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) PARK Smart 2.0 program enables community stakeholders to work with NYCDOT to address local curb management issues–such as parking availability, cruising, double-parking, and truck deliveries–on busy retail corridors. NYCDOT works together with local merchants and residents to develop a PARK Smart plan that typically includes parking pricing strategies curb regulation changes, and parking technology. The program has been successful in increasing curbside access for shoppers, residents, and commercial vehicles.
