Australian Report on Work Zone Traffic Control Training and Accreditation

Description:	Austroads has prepared a report that explores establishing a national framework for the training and accreditation of personnel involved in work zone traffic management and control. The report identifies six functional roles and associated skill sets for personnel who develop, implement, and oversee work zone traffic management, as well as those who perform other duties in a work zone. The report also compares the framework against their current state and territory requirements and course offerings, and makes recommendations on how the framework could be implemented across Australia. This information may be of interest to State and local agencies in the United States as they develop and implement work zone training programs. The report is free after registering on the web site.
