Accommodating Pedestrians in Work Zones - 11/2/2018
This webinar shares information on resources developed under the Work Zone Safety Grant program. In addition to the field guide, two training courses on designing temporary traffic control zones for pedestrian accessibility, and temporary traffic control considerations for urban work zones are available.

Work Zone Crash Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis - 11/2/2018
Resources from a Wayne State University-Transportation Research Group and the University of Missouri, Columbia webinar are now available. The webinar explored sources of crash databases, work zone crash analyses methods, and the data collection process among other topics.

The new Pedestrian Accommodation in Work Zones: A Field Guide, developed by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Work Zone Safety Consortium, identifies common issues that affect pedestrians that field personnel should regularly check for. The guide provides useful resources that describe how to properly design and implement pedestrian accommodations that the work activity requires.

Maintaining Crashworthy Work Zone Traffic Control Devices Field Guide - 7/27/2018
Provides information to ensure work zone devices are crashworthy. Examples of improper installation or repairs to devices are highlighted.

Work Zone Management Capability Maturity Framework (CMF) Assessment Tool and Process Review Workshop - 7/27/2018
Intended for agencies or regions to assess current work zone management capabilities. Once determined, the CMF tool provides a list of actions for organizations to raise their capabilities to the desired levels.

National Work Zone Management Conference - 7/27/2018
FHWA will host the Work Zone Data Initiative (WZDI) Symposium in conjunction with the 2018 National Work Zone Management Conference (September 11-13 in Herndon, Virginia). This full-day symposium will explore the benefits, challenges, and opportunities involved in agency and third party use of a standard work zone activity data (WZAD) framework.

The 2018 National Work Zone Awareness Week will be hosted by the state of Illinois, with a national kick-off event scheduled for Tuesday, April 10.
