Fact Sheet 7: Figure 1 Description
Figure 1 shows the breakout of projects identified, by year and phase of activity from 1997 through 2003. Activity phases include maintenance, construction, contracting, design, performance analysis, planning, and operations. Overall, work zone-related projects grew from 1997 to 1999, from approximately 45 projects to 89 projects. However, from 2000 to 2003, work zone-related projects dropped, from 89 projects in 2000 to just under 10 projects in 2003.
