Title:

Travelaid

Abstract:

This report discusses effectiveness of DMS and in-vehicle traffic advisory systems (IVUs) on a mountainous pass for changing driver behavior. DMS and VSL signs were installed on I-90 to provide speed limit, weather, and roadway information to motorists in order to reduce the number and severity of accidents. Report includes analysis of mean speeds and speed deviation based upon a driving simulator study.
