Business Process Frameworks for Transportation Operations

The FHWA Office of Operations led the development of six Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) capability maturity frameworks (CMF) which build upon the TSM&O Capability Maturity Model developed under SHRP2 and incorporated into the AASHTO Systems Operations and Management Guidance. The six CMF's provide focused assessment and suggested actions in each of the following operations program areas: Traffic Management, Traffic Incident Management, Planned Special Events, Work Zone Management, Road Weather Management, and Traffic Signal Control.
