Description of Map

The traffic pattern map shows a series of marked Interstate highways and surface streets surrounding the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, shown in the lower right portion of the map. The map is continued in an inset on the right side of the page, showing interchanges on I-65 and I-495 north of the city.

A legend shows that Indiana State Police traffic control locations are shown as solid squares with L-numbers (L-14, L-14B), gate numbers as G-numbers (G-5, G-6), inbound traffic to the track as thin solid lines, inbound traffic diverted to Coke Plant parking as shaded lines, outbound traffic as thicker solid lines, and bus and taxi routes as the thickest solid lines.
