On October 13, 2002 the Anaheim Angels won the American League Pennant and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim had their regular season home opener. At Arrowhead Pond, the Red Wings vs. Might Ducks game started at 6:00 PM, with 17,174 in attendance. At Edison Field the Twins vs. Angels game started at 1:05 PM and ended at 4:35 PM with 44,835 in attendance. The two venues make use of State College Blvd., Katella Ave. and S.R. 57.
