Figure 4-4 Multiple-Resolution Approach Developed for the ICM Initiative Analysis

Figure 4-4 shows a process diagram showing the flow of data through the multi-resolution approach developed for the Integrated Corridor Analysis initiative. The Travel Demand Model is presented as the first box on the left. Data including trip tables and networks are exchanged with a Mesosimulation and/or Microsimulation model box to the right through an Interface that refines the data. Results are passed from the simulation model to a box representing the estimation of Corridor Level Performance Measures, which leads to Benefits Valuation and Outputs. A separate path shows the User Selection of Strategies feeding information into the Simulation box and into a box for Costs of Implementing Strategies, which in turn leads to the Outputs box.
