Description of Figure

This figure shows the relationships between simulation and hardware and software in effective signal priority deployments. At the top of the figure, a Controller Interface Device is shown with two-way arrows to the previously mentioned VISSIM animation snapshot along with a 170 Traffic Signal Controller. This represents the input from the VISSIM model to the Controller Interface Device, and its communication with the Traffic Signal Controller to effectively implement this strategy to reduce travel time variability.
