Table 2-7. Top 25 Trading Partners of the United States in Merchandise Trade: 1998-2007
By a wide margin, Canada is this country’s top trading partner followed by China and Mexico. China’s share of trade with the United States more than doubled between 1998 and 2007, from 5 percent of total merchandise trade to 12 percent.
