Snow Plow Vehicle Case Study: Summary Report

Abstract:

This case study identified and analyzed the potential benefits to the Minnesota DOT and the public of using Intellient Vehicle driver-assist technology to allow snow plow operators to operate during heavy snow and low visibility winter conditions. The case study provides an overview of the proposed technology, approach, and private-sector partnerships plus brings together real-world performance measures and economic forecasting models to quantify potential benefits.
