Long Description: CA4PRS Analysis Process – Decision Support Tool

Diagram shows decision support model based on multi-disciplinary teamwork. The model is designed to help the user examine alternative "what-if" scenarios and is broken into three modules: 1) Schedule, 2) Traffic, and 3) Cost, as follows:

Module 1: Schedule

The user must ask if the scenario is constructable. He determines this using closure numbers, project duration, and construction stating data. If the answer is no, he must go back and examine alternative "what if" scenarios. If yes he proceeds to the next module.

Module 2: Traffic

The user must ask if traffic will be tolerable. He assesses this by analyzing queue and delay, road user cost, and demand control data. If the answer is no, he must go back and examine alternative "what if" scenarios. If yes he proceeds to the next module.

Module 2: Traffic

The user must ask if the budget can support the project. He assesses this by analyzing project cost, including agency, trffic, support, and life-cycle data. If the answer is no, he must go back and examine alternative "what if" scenarios. If yes he proceeds to the develop the TMP and PS&E.
