Title Figure Description

The title picture for Full Road Closure for Work Zone Operations: A Case Study exhibits a view of a construction site near an overpass on the M-10 Lodge Freeway. The photographer took this picture from highway level from about 50 meters away. The M-10 Lodge Freeway at this location has two lanes of road in each direction divided by a median strip. The roadway is bare of people, cars and equipment. The median and shoulder road areas have small piles of lose dirt. The overpass has a pedestrian guard that extends about 10-12 feet above the level of the overpass. A row of white lights illuminate the tunnel under the upper road way.
