Figure 1 appears in the Project Specifications and Background section of the page. The figure contains a map of downtown Detroit between Grand Avenue in the north to the Detroit River to the south. The map includes the north-south route of the M-10 Lodge Freeway and the east-west route of Interstate 75. The map shows a loop of road that encircles an area on the map that includes Greektown and central, downtown Detroit. The left and lower quarters of the loop contain little pictures of safety cones that indicate the section of the M-10 Lodge Freeway that is under construction. The upper and right quarters of the loop contain small dark circles that indicate the Recommended Alternate route along Interstate 375. The small safety cones meet the dark circles at the bottom of the loop near a bridge that crosses the Detroit River.
