Quality Management for Road Weather Data

Abstract:

The purpose of the project described in this paper is to ensure the quality of road weather information by developing a quality management system for the road weather information system in Finland. In the first phase of the project, from autumn 2002 through spring 2003, a quality manual for road weather system was prepared. The second phase, started in autumn 2003, is an implementation phase. To ensure that the activities within the system are carried out as described in the manual. Moreover, some new software tools are introduced to support quality management.
