Title:
Factors Inducing Multi-Vehicular Collisions During Visibility Reduced by Snowstorm
Abstract:
Many factors are thought to relate to the occurance of multi-vehicular collisions during snowstorms. In addition to severe meteorological conditions and surrounding environment during snowstorms, the driver's driving attributes and the traffic factors also were found to relate closely to such accidents. Factors identified in this study enable objective risk assessment of multi-vehicular collisions during snowstorms considering environmental, meteorological and traffic conditions of the site.
