The SAFETEA-LU reauthorization allows states to use 100% federal funding for professional development, covering the systems engineering training courses listed here and any other public or privately offered courses in your region. Check with your FHWA Division Office for more information. A broad range of courses for ITS practitioners, including courses related to systems engineering and project management, are available through the National Highway Institute (NHI) and the Consortium for ITS Training and Education (CITE).
