Unified Command Organization for Planned Special EventsThe Incident Commander of a Unified Command coordinates and manages the Information Officer and seven branch agencies: Public Safety, Local Police, State Police, Department of Transportation, Transit Agency, Event Organizer, an Emergency Management Agency. The State Police Branch includes the Private Towing Company Unit. The Department of Transportation Branch includes the Transportation Management Center Group, which includes the Freeway Service Patrol Unit. The Event Organizer Branch includes the Transportation Consultant (traffic/parking) Group, which includes the Traffic Control Vendor Unit and Volunteer Crew Unit. |
