Description of Figure

This figure shows an example of a busway (a facility with exclusive right-of-way lanes for buses) and illustrates the details of the proposed busway for engineers and the public. Two lanes are depicted in the center of the figure for buses only, and two vehicle lanes are shown on each side of the busway. The area shown is part of a central business district and shows pedestrians on sidewalks as well as some on street parking.
