Long Description: Figure C3. The Simulated High-speed Off-tracking Maneuver

Figure C3 is a graphic illustration of the simulated high speed off-tracking maneuver. Demonstrating the path began with a straight segment for 2000 ft., long enough to establish stable motion. A curve to the right with a radius of 1,289 ft., began suddenly without an entry spiral. The path continued in the curve for 4,049.5 ft., which was a bend of 180 degrees. The pavement was flat and dry with a coefficient of friction of 0.9.
