Using 2005 as a baseline, the ports of Seattle, Tacoma, and Metro Vancouver, Canada plan to cut diesel emissions by 75 percent per ton of cargo moved by 2015 and 80 percent by 2020. Taking into account the projected cargo growth at these ports, achieving this goal will result in an overall reduction of diesel emissions by 75 percent in 2020. |
