U.S. Transportation Secretary LaHood has announced the establishment of a National Freight Advisory Committee. This Advisory Committee will provide recommendations to the Secretary of Transportation on improvements to the nation's freight transportation policies and programs. The Advisory Committee will comprise of at least 25 voting members from outside of the Department of Transportation who have various perspectives on freight transportation, including mode, region, policy areas, freight customers and providers, and government entities. |
