Deployment of microprocessor-based controllers in electric trailer refrigeration units (eTRUs), are increasing the efficiency and reliability of the units, while decreasing emissions; depending on electricity rates and diesel prices, eTRUs may be less expensive to operate than traditional diesel-powered refrigeration units.
