The rapid explosion of new freight data sources is creating significant opportunities for more effective and well-targeted planning and operation of roadways, particularly in urban and metropolitan areas. The National Cooperative Freight Research Program (NCFRP) undertook Resource 49 project to understand urban and metropolitan freight challenges, to identify and assess ways to employ new freight data sources, and to recommend ways to leverage new data sources. |
