There are few practical or valid methods to gauge the success of public outreach initiatives in transportation. The goal of this project was to create a tool that measures the effectiveness of public involvement. A survey and score tool were developed based on literature reviews and tested on three Washington State transportation projects. After testing, the survey and score tool were refined and the Public Involvement Effectiveness Measurement Toolkit was created. |
