In a recent press release, Port officials proclaimed that 50,974 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEU) moved through the Port of New Orleans during the month of April. This number triumphs the previous monthly record of 48,594 TEUs in March 2016. According to the port's President and Chief Executive Officer Gary LaGrange, continued growth in cargo figures is attributed to efficient terminal operators, valued customers, and the hard work of the entire Port community. |
