Conclusion

The National Dialogue on Highway Automation’s Digital Infrastructure and Data Workshop provided FHWA with diverse input about various issues and opportunities surrounding the integration of AVs into the roadway system. Input provided from participants will inform FHWA policies, research, and programs. Digital infrastructure and data issues were also discussed in the other National Dialogue workshops. Digital infrastructure and data will continue to be important topics in the national conversation to advance roadway automation readiness.
