Conclusion

The National Dialogue on Highway Automation’s Operations Workshop provided FHWA with diverse input about various issues and opportunities surrounding the integration of automated vehicles into the roadway system. Input provided from participants will inform FHWA policies, research, and programs. Operations issues were also discussed in the other National Dialogue workshops. Operations will continue to be important topics in the national conversation to advance roadway automation readiness.
