Title:

System Monitors Flood-Prone Creeks

Abstract:

The City of Palo Alto, Calfornia maintains a "Creek Level Monitor" website that displays water levels at five bridge locations. The system detects water levels with ultrasonic devices under bridges and transmits data to the communication system that controls storm pump stations.
