Abstract:

In Queensland, Australia; remote sensors are used to monitor creek and river water levels to warn motorists. The Queensland Department of Main Roads and the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) provide road condition information via web page (www.racq.com.au/journey) and toll-free telephone system with interactive voice response (IVR) technology.
