This important winter maintenance symposium was held in Spokane, Washington. The TRB Committee on Winter Maintenance, along with the Washington State DOT, AASHTO and the FHWA sponsored the meeting, which highlighted the Maintenance Decision Support System (MDSS), FORETELL, environmental impacts of winter road maintenance, as well as heated concrete bridge deck and snow fence technologies.
