Effectiveness of Disseminating Traveler Information on Travel Time Reliability: Implement Plan and Survey Results Report

APPENDIX A. TRAVEL TIME RELIABILITY STUDY DESIGN

This figure presents a flowchart of the study design for the Travel Time Reliability (TTR) project. It shows that the lexicon for the Strategic Highway Research Program 2 (SHRP2) L14 project and historic traffic datasets from Houston, Columbus, and the Raleigh Durham Triangle area (accessed by the study website, mobile application and 511 platform) feed into four stages of the study execution. The first stage is the Baseline Survey. The second stage is Phase 1 (collection of GPS and travel diary data, without use of TTR information by participants). The third stage is Phase 2 (collection of GPS and travel diary data, with use of TTR information by participants). The last stage is the Exit Survey. The study execution then feeds into the dissemination of results via a project report, guidance report, and outreach material (webinar).
