commute options most appropriate for your needs, provide tips on how
to get started and examples of effective strategies. It should take
about 10 minutes to use the tool. You need to answer three sets of questions,
in the following categories:
1. Employer motivations
Commuter Choice programs can help meet a wide range of employer and employee needs. By entering information about
issues of interest to your organization, the tool can assess what programs may be most applicable to meet your goals.
2. Employer/worksite characteristics
Characteristics of your worksite, including location, employee commute habits and scheduling, and worksite needs
help to determine the viability of commuter strategies.
3. Management support
Management support is critical to the success of a workplace Commuter Choice program. The level of support may
influence what types of programs can be implemented.
Based on your information, the tool provides recommended strategies for your worksite, including a description of each program, supporting strategies, examples, and the potential costs and benefits.
