Many
employees feel they can't participate in a commute option program because
they need their car to conduct personal business and run errands during
their lunch time or before and after work. On-site employee services
are those that eliminate the need for employees to have their cars at
work every day. Examples include cafes, daycare, banking/ATM, dry cleaning,
shopping boxes and more. Sometimes these services can be contracted
out to local vendors, or can be included in any facility expansion plans.
Employers may also provide information about "flex-cars" which
are often located at transit facilities and rent on an hourly basis
for minimal cost, as an additional means of conducting personal business.
