Description The University of Kentucky's Kentucky Transportation Center released a case study on their Integrated Freight Network Model (IFNM). This model was developed to try to eliminate the limitations of most current transportation system models of freight networks which are for only one mode of freight transportation. The IFNM can model freight movements when the freight shifts from one mode to of transport to another which allows for the more efficient movement of freight.
