The United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has released the 2011 update to their Large Truck Crash Overview publication. This document discusses large truck crashes occurring in 2011 highlighting information about the drivers and types of vehicles involved in these crashes. Findings show that from 2007 to 2011, the number of large trucks involved in fatal crashes per 100 million vehicle miles decreased by 11 percent. |
