The United States and Canada have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) authorizing a pilot project to conduct pre-inspections of commercial cargo entering the United States from Canada. The first of the two projects will begin at the Blaine, Washington border crossing and the second at the Peace Bridge in New York State. This effort will investigate increasing efficiencies for crossing into the United States from Canada by having commercial cargo pre-inspected in Canada prior to reaching the border crossing. |
