The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority intends to develop over 400 acres of land surrounding the Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia to enhance the airport's industrial capacity as a freight hub. Currently, no other East Coast airport has a similar amount of available land for development. Airport authorities believe that improving the freight capabilities and establishing the Dulles International Airport as a major freight hub can greatly benefit the region's economy. |
