Title Giant Cranes Arrive in Port, Marking New Era for Cargo Handling

Description The Port of Baltimore has recently received new cranes which will be used to unload post-Panamax vessels following the 2014 Panama Canal Expansion. Currently the Port of Norfolk in Virginia is the only other East Coast port with the same capabilities to serve the post-Panamax vessels. These cranes are valued at $40 million and spent two months in transit, including a crossing under the Bay Bridge with just 6 feet of clearance.
